The castle is located in the eponymous village of Guadalest and is an open-air museum. The castle itself is located on the top of a mountain and occupies a large territory.

On the territory of the castle there are fortifications and the building of the castle itself - Casa Orduña. It houses the main museum with living quarters in which furniture, paintings, household items and interiors are well preserved.

The castle was built in the 17th and 18th centuries and is of great historical and cultural value.
The highlight of Guadalet Castle is the impressive view of the lake, which opens from the height of the fortress walls.

Entrance to the settlement and the castle grounds is free of charge.
Entrance to the living quarters (museum) is 4 euros per person (paid at the museum's ticket office).
In the village there are many shops with local food products (cheese, nuts, meat products, drinks). Guadalest is also known for its many museums (miniature Museum, torture Museum and others...)
